Argyroupoli is a small town in the province of Rethymno, built in a beautiful location at an altitude of 260 meters. The settlement has been characterized as traditional, as it
preserves many of the architectural elements of the past.
The Springs of Argyroupoli are formed in a green setting a few meters below the village attracting thousands of visitors. The water comes out of the cave of Agia
Dynami and after passing the old watermills that once ground the grain, they end up in the riverbed of the river Mouselas.
The watermills today have been turned into taverns that offer traditional food.
